By teaching it is intended to spread knowledge on subjects concerning human rights and humanitarian action, as well as training agents capable of intervening in favour thereof with technical professionalism and competences.  Máster Europeo en Derechos Humanos y Democratización

The Institute, following its international vocation offers the NOHA Master?s Degree in International Humanitarian Action and the European Master?s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation.

Furthermore, since 2000, the Training Programme for Indigenous Leaders has been offered and it is focused both on the basic aspects of human rights and on the aspects of indigenous rights.

On the other hand, the Institute develops a series of university courses. Thus, for example, the Course on Human Rights is carried out annually in Donostia-San Sebastian. Likewise, specific courses on Human Rights have been performed such as the ones offered in the Basque Country Police Academy (Arkaute).

Various members of the Institute are teaching doctorate courses on matters dealing with human rights within the framework of the European Doctoral Programme on Migrations and Conflict in Global Society, organised by the Anthropology Department at the University of Deusto. They also participate in Doctoral Programmes of other Universities in the State.
