The INTEGRIM programme is a research training programme which aims to structure the existing high-quality research capacity on Migration and Integration policies and processes in the European Union and neighbouring countries.

FRAME, a 4-year multidisciplinary project, represents a consortium of 19 internationally recognized and globally networked human rights institutes from across Europe and strategic regions around the world.

Western societies are currently facing dynamics such as sharp increases in their foreign population, high unemployment rates and varying degrees of social exclusion which are potentially more harmful to certain groups showing lower qualifications and higher social fragmentation.  These situations exist in Biscay and question the way the entire system works, leading to economic and social outcomes which may have not yet received enough attention.

In view of society’s lack of knowledge, particularly young people’s, concerning Basque immigration, and the fact that the last generation of immigrants and those who returned are passing away, a study of Biscay’s collective memory and its history of immigration and return is urgently needed.

This projects looks to introduce new theoretical and conceptual perspectives to overcome gaps in protection of internally displaced persons. It aims to set up a suitable conceptual and operational framework for their protection.

The main purpose of this project is to contribute good practices and proposals for social, institutional or regulatory adaptations to lead to better management of religious diversity.

This research project intends to systematise the experience of the Awas Tingni Case in order to draw some lessons (best practices) that, in the future, may allow other indigenous communities or groups in a vulnerability situation to defend appropriately their rights both at a national and international level.
