The Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute is an academic institution created in 1997 and linked to the University of Deusto. Its main raison d'être is to work towards a culture of human rights, from a university perspective, and with a notable social and international vocation.
At present 13 people comprise the team of the Institute, which develops its work through teaching, research, raising awareness and social action.
For the development of its ordinary activities, the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute has signed co-operation agreements with the following public Institutions:
* Basque Government, Department of Justice, Office of Human Rights.
* Basque Government, Basque Agency for Development Cooperation.
* Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, Directorate of Human Rights and Remembrance.
